#UsToo

We have all been there. In some way or another every woman I know has been put in a position by a man, she was not comfortable with. Some scenarios are more extreme than others.

The #MeToo movement, is a social movement against sexual abuse and sexual harassment where people publicize allegations committed by powerful and/or prominent men.

In no way am I trying to conceal or embellish these facts, but there are many ways of abuse.

As a woman knowing what it feels like to feel socially pressured to act, dress or behave a certain way, how come we don’t feel for men too?

The abuse and pressure to be financially stable by a very young age. To have a car, a house and provide for the whole family. To not show any emotional vulnerability. In fact, to be prince charming, a knight in shining armor.

To be honest with you us woman aren’t making it any easy.

What happened to love? To building a life together? To standing by each other in sickness and in health, for richer and poorer?

If you already expect, everything other people work for all their life, what are you waking up and working 12 hours a day for?

It is easy to lose sight, because of social pressure and societies standards.

Help each other and support one another to unfold into the person you are meant to become.

Don’t forget the reason you chose to spend the rest of your life with that person. Not as a woman, but as a person I feel for all survivors and fighters out there.

For woman, children and men, who are being sexually, emotionally or verbally abused. This isn’t a battle you are facing alone. It is all of #UStoo.

Love,

Nour
